Before you proceed to learning how to count from 11 to the hundreds in Indonesian, make sure you are familiar with how to count from 0 to 10! Here's my previous lesson:
11 → Sebelas
12 to 19 → ... + belas
To count twelve to nineteen, simply add belas to the end of the numbers you are trying to express.
e.g. Dua belas / Twelve
e.g. Tiga belas / Thirteen
e.g. Empat belas / Fourteen
20 to 99 → ... + puluh + (...)
Puluh represents tens in Indonesian. Add this behind the number 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and you get twenty, thirty, forty, fifty, sixty, seventy, eighty, and ninety.
- Dua puluh / Twenty
- Tiga puluh / Thirty
- Empat puluh / Forty
- Lima puluh / Fifty
- Enam puluh / Sixty
- Tujuh puluh / Seventy
- Delapan puluh / Eighty
- Sembilan puluh / Ninety

Now, if you add another number behind puluh, you'll get something like this:
e.g. Lima puluh enam / 50 + 6 = 56 / Fifty six
e.g. Tujuh puluh delapan / 70 + 8 = 78 / Seventy eight
e.g. Sembilan puluh satu / 90 + 1 = 91 / Ninety one
100 → Seratus
100 to 999 → ... + ratus + (...)
Ratus represents hundreds in Indonesian. Let's get straight to the examples to find out how to use it.
- Dua ratus / Two hundred
- Tiga ratus / Three hundred
- Empat ratus / Four hundred
- Lima ratus / Five hundred
- Enam ratus / Six hundred
- Tujuh ratus / Seven hundred
- Delapan ratus / Eight hundred
- Sembilan ratus / Nine hundred
To express 234, for instance, combine the knowledge of what you have learned so far!
- e.g. 123 = 100 + 20 + 3, so 123 is: Seratus dua puluh tiga
- e.g. 456 = 400 + 50 + 6, so 456 is: Empat ratus lima puluh enam
- e.g. 780 = 700 + 80, so 780 is: Tujuh ratus delapan puluh
Easy, right?
